New Create XT Preset + Switch 3 = EZ Magic

August 27, 2010 by tom

All you Create XT users know how powerful this product can be by itself. But did you know that by adding the Switch 3 footswitch, your performance options are multiplied three times? The preset offered below has A and B settings offering the popular effects you can use to reproduce modern music:

  • Doubling
  • Megaphone
  • Hardtune
  • Tap delay
  • Room reverb

The footswitches on a Switch 3 give you individual on/off control of the FX block, µMod and delay effects in left to right order. The reverb effect is usually left on. In fact, you can set up a combination while the On button is turned off and then switch it on for a multi-effect sonic treat when needed.

The A setting:

FX – megaphone, µMod – doubling, delay – ducked 1/8th note delay, reverb – quiet room.

The B setting:

FX – hardtune (set to key of A), µMod – thicken, 1/4 note tap delay, reverb – bright room

Create XT Multi Preset

Download the preset from the link above, extract the file to a folder then use VoiceSupport v1.1 to load them into your product. VoiceSupport has an offline manual you can read under Help in the lower menu.

Remember, you can use the Balance control to adjust the level of individual effects blocks when only that block is turned on. Storing your change is done by holding the Preset button. Also, make sure to power up Create XT after you connect the Switch 3. Enjoy!
