After some lengthy delays, the new version of VoiceSupport is ready for download. The new version has many new features as well as access to more content. The most anticipated feature is the new drag and drop preset management view. All the new content can be filtered to see what you want. Singers wanting to learn more about their craft will enjoy access to VoiceCouncil articles and videos that cover topics ranging from warming up, breathing and getting gigs.

Harmony-G XT firmware update for VoiceSupport

TC-Helicon has released a firmware update for VoiceTone Harmony-G XT – version 1.1.01. The update makes Harmony-G XT compatible with the new preset management page in VoiceSupport 1.1. With VoiceSupport you can now store, archive, rename, and move presets.

BACK UP YOUR PRESETS

Your presets will be deleted and restored to factory presets when you upgrade to version 1.1.01. With VoiceSupport version 1.1 you can back-up your presets and restore them. In VoiceSupport 1.1, click the TC-Helicon menu, select Help, then select Offline Manual. Perform the steps in Backing up your presets and restoring your presets in the Common Tasks section of the manual.

You must be using VoiceSupport 1.1 to upgrade your firmware. Download: Windows | Mac

VoiceSupport 1.1 getting ready for prime time

Many of you have been waiting for an update on the mysterious update to VoiceSupport. We announced back at Winter NAMM 2010 that the application for USB enabled TC-Helicon product would see some substantial updates. All this is true (except for the fact we announced that it would be available in February!)

Well, VoiceSupport 1.1 is in full BETA test and the final release is right around the corner (expect the week of May 17th). Until then, here are some sneakpeek screenshots for you.

Look familiar? Articles and video on singing from the VoiceCouncil website are available as well as the product posts. You may also notice that you can have multiple products recognized by VoiceSupport; in this case VoiceLive 2 and VoiceTone Create XT.

This is the feature you’ll love. Now you can import your presets and can change order, copy, swap, merge, rearrange steps, name, etc. and dump back to your device. And the best thing – notice that the window is now re-sizable!

Tom demonstrates what overdub / double effects sounds like on vocals, and explains the difference between an overdub sound vs. a detune effect. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden is used as a perfect example for this technique.
