TC-Helicon has released a maintanence update for VoiceLive 2 – firmware version 1.2.01. The update addresses an issue where harmony/double voices can get corrupted with with large down shifts and specific gender settings.

If you’re running version 1.2.00:

unfortunately, there is still a remaining bug after fixing the issue: the ‘Gender’ parameter of the ‘Double’ effect reset to zero after powering off of the unit. Hope this will be corrected soon!

per cortesia controllate la parte midi in quanto non funziona spiegate come entrare in midi e pilotare le armonie io di solito uso pilotare la traccia 5 dove ho i cori dall’ultimo aggiornamento non funziona piu’, io uso dei normali midi file e scielgo la traccia 5 e inoltre quando faccio partire la base inoltre cambiano da soli i preset saluti grazie
Is it safe to upgrade to firmware version 1.2.01 or wait till the issue with harmony/double voices is sorted out?
Yes 1.2.01 is the latest build – and great to use!

Hello everyone,
I try to use the new function “cowbell” as metronome in rehearsal and here’s the problem:
I have a preset for each song.
For each preset, I set in “delay” the value of tempo: source = time, tempo = 60 for example for a first song, 105 for the next song. I store my two presets of course. I activate the cowbell via the “shortcut” button.
When I come back to preset 1 and press shortcut to hear the cowbell, the tempo is… 105 (that’s what I hear), yet if I edit the preset I read 60 … I turn the knob, 61 appears and miraculously, I hear a tempo of 61. I store my preset, of course.
If I go to the 2nd preset, again I can read 105 but I hear 61 … and again if I turn the knob I read and hear 106!
Note that I set global tap tempo = OFF (ON is worse, I also lose the value stored in each preset).
In short, either I digress and I do not understand, or there is a bug …
What do you think? Someone has a solution?

Unfortunately, the Voice Live 2 does not show the chords be sent by the keyboard or guitar to this one any more. If I transpose at my keyboard now I have no more control sent which chords of the keyboard. However, this information is very important just if I transpose into another key at the keyboard.
I miss this function very much and certainly also many other users.
When will there be for it an update?

I’m glad they fixed the problem with the autotune key not saving but now the same problem is with the tempo on the cowbell and the beat division of the rhythmic moment or anything within the rhythm section. can we expect a fix to these soon? it seems to be a simple thing that can be fixed rather quickly. Thanks!!

If I understand correctly, you’re probably transposing an arranger keyboard that doesn’t transpose the midi output; rather it sends a MIDI message that we (and as I understand many other) products don’t recognize.
Displaying recognized chords will cause confusion because we do a lot of mapping of notes played to harmony produced in NaturalPlay. However, it has been noted to consider for future updates.

I just installed the voice support program and the register button does nothing but give me a white screen. Also, I do not see how to upgrade the firmware from within Voice Support.

I bought my VL2 2 weeks ago.
I have updated it, but I have an awful time with distorted or overdriven harmonies on most every preset. I turn off effects and reverb and everything but harmony. Please help, I am on the verge of returning this to the store.

Have not been on in a while, but the problems were in balancing out the gain. If I used the auto gain, it pushed to hard on the input. I have a very powerful voice sometimes and I have to watch the distance of the mic. Plus I needed to turn the harmonies down, they were to close to the out put of the lead vocal.

Welcome back. When using the auto mic gain feature it is really important to sing at your loudest volume to avoid clipping later on.

ciao, ho acquistato il voicelive 2 aggiornatao già con la versione 1.2. ma non riesco a connette la mia tastiera DGX-630 yamaha, per il trasferimento dei dati midi. ho provato tramite computer “i-mac” ma non riesco, la tastiera non possiede un’uscita midi standard ma quella USB TO HOST, come posso risolvere il problema. It seems that the only way to get this to work would be to use a computer and a sequencing program. You would need to connect the DGX’s “USB to host” connection to your computer and then use a sequencing program (Cubase, Sonar, Logic etc) as the go-between to then send the midi data out to the Voice Live 2. This is a limitation of the DGX as it has no standard midi in or out ports.

How can I get the reverb and delay to overlap when I change presets? It is cutting off sharply instead of transitioning in a fluid way.

help!!! i upgraded the firmware of my voicelive 2 and now it doesnt work!! i turn it on and the screen stays blue and the “home” button turns red and thats it… and voicesupport is not recognising it… please help me! i have a really big concert in 3 days and my lead voice is using the unit… i am really worried!!!
