Hiya Jay,
Thanks for getting in touch. I will try my best to answer your questions in the order in which you asked them.
Firstly, there are definitely thickening and plate reverb settings available in the VoiceLive 2. You will find the thickening under the Umod tab in the edit menu. As the Umod has its own footswitch it is entirely possible to kick in the effect (or any effect for that matter) simply by pressing the footswitch. Everything under the hood of the tone setting can be changed simply by pressing the Tone button and accessing the extensive menu. The adaptive feature is a great way to make sure your tone constantly keeps up with your voice and maintains a polished produced sound from start to finish (this is constantly working with your tone throughout your performance), however, you can manually affect it also if you wish to.
In regards to feedback, the same usual rules apply as far as keeping distance from speakers / amps etc to ensure your vocal signal is the dominant signal being fed into your VoiceLive 2.
As far as overload goes, I’m quite sure you will find the auto mic gain has corrected this. Apart from being the easiest way to set up your gain structure, it also takes any guesswork out of setting your input level. This can also be manually adjusted should you need to do so. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or need any more clarification on the above please do not hesitate to give me a shout back
.
Best wishes,
Joey
Hi Jay,
it’s worth to try VoiceLive2 harmonies triggered with AUX in input. It’s is much more simple.
Auto gate, comp and eq is fantastic.
Voicelive2 rocks!

Uros
Hi Joey,
Bought VL 2 last week and is in a great machine! I’ve updated the latest software version and calibrated my expression (TC) pedal. When I use this pedal for setting harmony level I notice that when the pedal is in minimal position I still can hear harmony voices (very softly). I thought it could be a problem in the pedal so I tried another pedal (and calibrated it) the Roland EV5 but this did not solve the problem. Are you familiar with this and if so can it be solved? I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Roland
Hiya Roland,
If you can bear with me, I’m checking on this for you with the technical team. It probably doesn’t hurt to get in touch with support about this whilst you wait anyway, as this might save you some time if the response I get is that it’s definitely an issue for support. Here’s the link if you need it :-

Hiya Roland,
Just a thought …
Do you have delay or Reverb turned on at the same time? Harmony may be leaking via pre fade send. Let me know if this fixes the issue.
Best,
Joey
I had a problem when I wanted to use my VL2 as my DAW’s harmony plug in.
I heard my own voice within the harmonies although I had the main voice mute turned on.
Then I realized that de guitar fx was on, and when I turned it off the main voice disappeared from the mix.
I think this is a software bug because it has no sense to me. Wait for you answer.
Hey,
I have the exact same problem like this guy. Later on he wrote you have sent him an update beta version with this problem fixed. Is there a chance to get that too???
Thx very much

Just updated from 1.1 to 1.2. My Voicelive 2 is now an expensive paper weight. The display went to blue and white and Voicesupport does not even recognize it. No call back from Canada … incredible.
Hiya Peter,
Sorry to hear about the issue you’re having with your VoiceLive 2. Did you get in contact via TC-Helicon’s support team through this link?…:-

I have many questions as I have just bought the VoiceLive 2 from zZounds but hasn’t been shipped yet due to holiday. I have been reviewing this unit for over 3 months now just to make sure it will do what I want it to. I tried the digitech version and sent it back after a day, harmonies sounded fake and so forth.
My first question is can the volume of the harmonies be adjusted from the lead vocal so you can hear the lead vocal more and put the harmonies in the background?
Besides just saving the presets via USB can you edit them as well and label them according to your song title?
I may have more questions when I receive the unit. Thanks
Ken
Hiya Ken,
Yes, you can easily adjust the volume of the harmonies in relation to the lead voice. You will find this function in the Harmony tab of the edit menu.
As far as editing the names of your presets, this is easy to do via the STORE function. However, the USB function does not allow you to edit presets.
For these general questions and more, I would reccommend you check out the VoiceLive 2 manuals downloadable for free via the TC-Helicon website.
Best wishes,
Joey
